The Adaptive Farmer is part of the Life in a Changing Landscape project by the Gower Street pilot consortium program in the southern part of Ghana organised by two of four participating CSOs, Ghana Youth Environmental Movement and Alliance for Environmental Intervention. This project is taking massive shape in Kwanyarko and Asikuma in the Eastern Region of Ghana with the aim of helping farmers adapt to their changing environments while maintaining sustainable livelihoods.

The consortium program, sponsored by Gower Street, was established to provide funding opportunities to four CSOs (Ghana Youth Environmental Movement, Alliance for Environmental Intervention, United Force for Development, and AgroIntroduction to work collaboratively toward common climate adaptation goals. This innovative pilot program tested a consortium funding model while helping communities adapt to changing landscapes in ways that benefit both people and nature.
