Ghana Youth Environmental Movement (GYEM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Miss Gloria Agyare as Programmes Officer for the organization. Gloria has been with GYEM since early 2017, during her undergraduate studies at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
She has been actively involved in our work in Treba, where the Movement is currently partnering the International Secretariat for Water (ISW), to construct a Kyensu water kiosk to address chronic water challenges in the community. We have heavily relied on her research and community engagement skills within the past few weeks and months on the Kyensu water project. GYEM is excited to welcome her into this position.
Gloria Agyare is a climate activist and aspiring food technologist who recently graduated from the BSc Agriculture programme (specializing in mechanization and food technology) at KNUST. Gloria is a strong advocate for women taking leading roles in environmental advocacy and action. She is a music enthusiast and loves to know about books.
