Following Greta Thunberg’s sole strike in August 2018, there have been increasing waves of climate strikes by young people all over the globe, demanding action on climate change. Realising the threats of climate change and the need to act now to safeguard the future of young people and the world at large, young people all over the world are calling on governments and key stakeholders to consider climate change as a crisis and to act urgently by committing to the Paris Agreement and a clean and just future.
The Ghana Youth Environmental Movement joined the climate strike during the September 20 Global Climate Strike in 2019. Following that we hosted strikes in Accra, Kumasi, Tamale and Damongo involving hundreds of school children and youth. Learn more about FFF Movement here: https://fridaysforfuture.org/
